1. Who we are
This privacy notice applies to the Festival HaChayim website (festivalhachayim.com) and to registration for Festival HaChayim 2026 at the Baptist Village. The festival is operated, and the information is controlled, by [operating entity / association name], [registration number], [address]. For any privacy question, write to festivalhachayim2026@gmail.com or call 052-909-0424 and mention "privacy".
2. What we collect
When you register we collect what you enter in the form: first and last names, city, the registration contact's phone number and email address, each participant's date of birth (to determine the age band and price), meal preference, food allergies and sensitivities, congregation and pastor details (name and phone) if you choose to give them, and language and translation needs. When registering guests for the 2 October event we also collect the details of the guests you list (name, age and contact details), and you confirm that you have their consent to provide them.
Card details, if you pay by card, are given directly to the payment provider and are never stored by us. For bank transfer, Bit or PayBox we keep the payment proof you send and your reference number.
While you use the website your network address is processed briefly to prevent abuse; only a short-lived pseudonymous digest is kept, never the address itself. The website uses first-party web analytics (Vercel Web Analytics), which counts page views and a few general actions (for example, pressing "Register") without cookies and without identifying details.
3. Why we use it
To organise the festival: to allocate accommodation and meals, to take allergies and dietary needs into account, to arrange translation, to contact you about your registration and payment, to send confirmations and festival updates, to keep participants safe, to meet legal obligations, and to produce general statistics that identify nobody.
4. Required and optional details
Required: the participants' names, city and date of birth, the contact's phone and email, and agreement to the terms and to this notice. Without them we cannot complete a registration. Optional: allergies and sensitivities, meal preference, congregation and pastor details, and translation needs. Leaving them out does not prevent registration, but may limit how well we can accommodate you.
5. Who we share it with
The information is stored and processed by service providers acting for us: Supabase (database, servers in the European Union), Vercel (website hosting), [card payment provider] (card processing — receives card details directly), [email provider] (confirmations and updates), and Google Sheets (an internal sync for the registration team). Authorised festival team members and volunteers see the information as far as their role requires and are bound by confidentiality. We do not sell personal information and do not pass it to third parties for marketing. Information is disclosed to authorities where the law requires it.
6. How long we keep it
Registration details are kept to organise the festival and close its accounts afterwards, and for [retention period, e.g. 12 months] after the festival ends, unless a longer period is required by law. After that the information is deleted or made non-identifying. Payment proofs are kept as bookkeeping rules require.
7. Your rights
Under the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, 5741-1981, you may inspect the information held about you, ask for information that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date to be corrected, and ask for it to be deleted, subject to legal retention duties. Write to festivalhachayim2026@gmail.com; we will answer within [response time, e.g. 30 days]. You may also contact the Privacy Protection Authority.
8. Security
Information travels over encrypted connections and is stored in systems with access control; access is limited to authorised team members. No system is completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security.
9. Minors
Registration is made by an adult only. Minors' details are provided by the parent or guardian who registers them, who confirms that they may be provided for organising the festival.
10. Photography and recording
Photography and recording take place at the festival. See section 9 of the festival policy.
11. Changes to this notice
This notice may be updated. The current version and its date appear at the top of the page, and every registration keeps the version that was accepted when it was made.
